Darian joined the AMF-Cufa in November, 2021
Darian brings over 15 years of experience working across Australia’s aid sector, including a decade managing the Australian Government’s Aid program as a governance and humanitarian specialist.
As the CEO of AMF-Cufa, Darian will oversee a dynamic program portfolio across the Asia Pacific focused on the economic development of disadvantaged and vulnerable communities. AMF-Cufa promotes financial literacy, employment, enterprise and livelihood, and financial institution development. Through the Australia team and network of local country offices, AMF-Cufa works with communities, institutions and governments to address and overcome the causes of poverty in our region.
Mark joined the AMF-Cufa board in April 2026
Mark has been a CEO of mutual banks/credit unions for over 20 years and recently retired as the CEO of Australian Mutual Bank. He has completed Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degrees. He is also a Graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Mark was instrumental in the creation of the Australian Mutuals Foundation in 2015. He has participated in Barnardos volunteering opportunities, and participated in credit union development as a technical advisor in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Tonga and Tuvalu. His experience as a credit union presenter includes Asian Confederation Forums since 2007, Credit Union Development Education courses, the Oceania Confederation of Credit Union Leagues, and the PNG Federation of Savings and Loans Societies.
Erica joined the AMF-Cufa Board in December 2025
Erica is an accomplished executive leader with over 25 years of international experience in the financial services and consumer banking sector. She currently serves as Chief Operations Officer of Teachers Mutual Bank Limited and joined the AMF-CUFA Board in 2025, providing disciplined leadership and strategic oversight within purpose-led, member-owned banking. Erica’s career spans senior roles across South Africa, the UK and Australia, where she has developed deep expertise in operations, risk and credit functions.
She is known for fostering high-performing teams and driving operational efficiencies that enhance member and employee experiences. With a disciplined, results-driven style, Erica implements robust risk and compliance frameworks in line with regulatory standards and builds
transparent partnerships with stakeholders (boards, regulators, and industry partners) to ensure trust and resilience. A Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, she brings
strong governance acumen to her board role. Erica is passionate about financial inclusion and community impact, aligning her expertise with AMF-Cufa’s mission.
Damon joined the AMF-Cufa board in June 2020
Damon joined the Cufa board in June 2020. Damon is a government relations and strategic communications specialist with over 20 years’ experience in designing and delivering government relations, strategic communications and social research programs for high profile clients in Australia and internationally.
He has experience in Federal Government working for the Finance Minister as well as on
multiple federal and state political campaigns. Damon is the owner and Principal of Christmas Jalili, a public affairs, strategic communications and social research advisory consulting private sector organizations and industry groups on issues in business, finance and politics. Prior to that, Damon was also a Partner and Head of the Government Relations Practice at Kreab
(formerly Gavin Anderson).
Kim joined the AMF-Cufa’s Board in June 2022
Kim is an experienced Board Director and legal professional with over 30 years’ expertise in legal practice, governance, risk, and social justice. She joined CUFA’s Board in June 2022 and also serves as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, supporting financial literacy and microenterprise in vulnerable Asia-Pacific communities. She is also Chair and Director of Anika Legal, a nonprofit legal service helping renters at risk of homelessness, focusing on governance, strategy, and advocacy for housing justice.
In July 2025, Kim joined the Board of the Queen Elizabeth Centre, contributing to governance and strategy to improve outcomes for vulnerable families and children. Kim’s legal career spanned over 34 years at Maurice Blackburn, advocating for injured clients, leading teams, and serving six years on the firm’s Board. She achieved Accredited Personal
Injury Specialist Accreditation and was Lawyers Weekly’s Insurance Partner of the Year in 2018.
Her previous board roles include ten years on RMIT Law School’s Advisory Board and 15 years with the Law Institute of Victoria’s Personal Injury Advisory Board. Since retiring from legal practice in June 2025, Kim supports not-for-profits and community causes, including refugee volunteer work.
Mike joined the AMF-Cufa board in April 2026
Mike is the Chief Executive Officer of the Customer Owned Banking Association (COBA), the industry body for Australia’s credit unions, building societies and mutual banks, following his
appointment on 4 December 2017.
Mike has over 30 years experience in financial services, primarily gained with AMP Bank and
National Australia Bank.
In April 2018, Mike became a Director of the World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU), the
peak international body for the credit union movement globally.
Mike was Managing Director of AMP Bank eight years and prior to this, Mike undertook senior
roles in all distribution channels of banking, namely, Corporate, Commercial and Retail and having done so across three continents, Australia, UK and USA.
Mike is passionate about community involvement and using his skills that have been acquired over a very fortunate career in playing his part in helping others, more recently as Vice Chair of
Heart Research Australia and the many activities associated with Special Needs.
Melina joined the AMF-Cufa board in April 2026
Melina Morrison is the inaugural CEO of the Business Council of Co-operatives and Mutuals (BCCM), the national peak body for Australia’s member‑owned businesses, including mutual banks, insurers and credit unions.
Under her leadership, BCCM has supported historic reforms to the operating environment for
cooperatives and mutuals. Her work on access to capital contributed to legislative change and the release of more than A$350 million into Australian co-operatives and mutuals since 2019.
Melina led the development of the Mutual Value Measurement Framework©, providing a
consistent approach to measuring member and community value alongside financial
performance. She has secured more than A$28 million in Australian Government funding for co-operatives in agriculture and social care, including A$11.8 million for the Care Together
program.
Rosanna joined the AMF-Cufa board in April 2026
Rosanna Argall is the CEO of Unity Bank. She has been working within the finance industry in a range of roles and organisations for over 25 years.
Since joining Unity Bank, Rosanna has held positions within marketing, human resources, call centre operations, IT and business development, sales and Executive Management.
Rosanna is the Secretary of the Board Audit Committee, Board Risk Committee and Board
Governance, Nominations and Remuneration Committee and is also the Company Secretary of
G&C Mutual Bank.
Rosanna is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia and Australian Mutuals Institute and a Member of Australia Institute of Company Directors. Rosanna is also a Councillor on the
Mutual Banking Employers Association.
