Financial Literacy

Through our range of community-oriented financial literacy programs, we enable students and vulnerable and marginalised groups to take control of their money management habits.

A key component of this focus has been educating students in critical saving habits and financial services.

Our program of Children’s Financial Literacy (CFL) has been implemented in Cambodia until recently, and Papua New Guinea, through a three stage approach:

Stage 1

Children are taught financial literacy in the classroom through a step-by-step lesson approach

Stage 2

We facilitate engagement with local financial service providers, to help set up bank accounts and encourage information sharing

Stage 3

Teachers are trained through workshops to ensure that the knowledge can be taught going forward without long-term dependency on AMF-Cufa support

For the most effective learning outcomes, we use a blended learning approach using digital and print mediums where possible.

This work is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP).
