About Us

Australian Mutuals Foundation (AMF)-Cufa is a non-profit civil society organisation dedicated to alleviating poverty and strengthening community resilience in Australia and across the Asia-Pacific. We provide financial literacy education and financial inclusion initiatives by harnessing the strengths of the Australian mutuals and credit union sector to foster the resilience of vulnerable communities.

AMF-Cufa is a signatory to the Australian Council for International Development (ACFID). We are fully compliant with its Code of Conduct which sets out a framework of good practice for Australian non-government organisations to ensure transparency, accountability and ethical standards in international development.

We prioritise three key goals:

  1. Strengthen financial literacy and livelihoods through high-quality, evidence-based programs and training
  2. Promote the connection of Australian mutuals in the Asia-Pacific region through strategic engagement, sector collaboration and capacity building
  3. Support at-risk youth and enable effective donation mechanisms to assist those affected by natural disasters in Australia

Across all activities, AMF-Cufa is strongly committed to:

Our Vision

Harness the strengths of the Australian mutuals and credit union sector to foster the resilience of vulnerable communities at home and in the Asia-Pacific region.

Our Mission

We embrace a 3-pillar approach of:

Our Values

Resilient, Collaborative, Respectful and Inclusive

Our Performance

AMF-Cufa is committed to ensuring that real change is generated from our projects to create value.

We produce an annual report to inform our supporters how their donations have been used to help improve the lives of communities in the Asia Pacific region. We also regularly assess and evaluate our programs to ensure improvement, program effectiveness and a Social Return on Investment Report to assess the overall impact of our work.
